While growing up in beautiful Washington State, I discovered my love for fitness through soccer and track. This passion continued as I attended the United States Military Academy and studied Kinesiology. While in college, I competed in marathons and triathlons, completing five half-ironmans, multiple olympic and sprint triathlons, six marathons and two ultramarathons. After graduation, I regained my love for functional fitness through CrossFit. My passion for various workout styles parallels my love for nutrition and the human body as a whole.

As a 48 year-old mother of three, I have walked the path of transformation and self-discovery. I intimately understand the challenges of yo-yo dieting and the rollercoaster of losing and gaining the same weight, as, I too, have embarked on that journey. Through my personal odyssey, I've shed over 100 pounds, and in doing so, I've learned that physical health is only one facet of the complex puzzle that is overall well-being.
